2 Chronicles Chapter 13 ãÌÄáÀøÅé äÇéÌÈîÄéí á

à  áÌÄùÑÀðÇú ùÑÀîåÉðÆä òÆùÒÀøÅä, ìÇîÌÆìÆêÀ éÈøÈáÀòÈí; åÇéÌÄîÀìÉêÀ àÂáÄéÌÈä, òÇì-éÀäåÌãÈä. 1 In the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.

And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
â  åÇéÌÆàÀñÉø àÂáÄéÌÈä àÆú-äÇîÌÄìÀçÈîÈä, áÌÀçÇéÄì âÌÄáÌåÉøÅé îÄìÀçÈîÈä, àÇøÀáÌÇò-îÅàåÉú àÆìÆó, àÄéùÑ áÌÈçåÌø;  {ñ}  åÀéÈøÈáÀòÈí, òÈøÇêÀ òÄîÌåÉ îÄìÀçÈîÈä, áÌÄùÑÀîåÉðÆä îÅàåÉú àÆìÆó àÄéùÑ áÌÈçåÌø, âÌÄáÌåÉø çÈéÄì.  {ñ} 3 And Abijah joined battle with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men; {S} and Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, who were mighty men of valour. {S}
ã  åÇéÌÈ÷Èí àÂáÄéÌÈä, îÅòÇì ìÀäÇø öÀîÈøÇéÄí, àÂùÑÆø, áÌÀäÇø àÆôÀøÈéÄí; åÇéÌÉàîÆø, ùÑÀîÈòåÌðÄé éÈøÈáÀòÈí åÀëÈì-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì. 4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill-country of Ephraim, and said: 'Hear me, O Jeroboam and all Israel;

O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD, the God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.'
éâ  åÀéÈøÈáÀòÈí, äÅñÅá àÆú-äÇîÌÇàÀøÈá, ìÈáåÉà, îÅàÇçÂøÅéäÆí; åÇéÌÄäÀéåÌ ìÄôÀðÅé éÀäåÌãÈä, åÀäÇîÌÇàÀøÈá îÅàÇçÂøÅéäÆí. 13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them; so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.
éã  åÇéÌÄôÀðåÌ éÀäåÌãÈä, åÀäÄðÌÅä ìÈäÆí äÇîÌÄìÀçÈîÈä ôÌÈðÄéí åÀàÈçåÉø, åÇéÌÄöÀòÂ÷åÌ, ìÇéäåÈä; åÀäÇëÌÉäÂðÄéí, îçööøéí (îÇçÀöÀøÄéí) áÌÇçÂöÉöÀøåÉú. 14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind them; and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
èå  åÇéÌÈøÄéòåÌ, àÄéùÑ éÀäåÌãÈä; åÇéÀäÄé, áÌÀäÈøÄéòÇ àÄéùÑ éÀäåÌãÈä, åÀäÈàÁìÉäÄéí ðÈâÇó àÆú-éÈøÈáÀòÈí åÀëÈì-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, ìÄôÀðÅé àÂáÄéÌÈä åÄéäåÌãÈä. 15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout; and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
èæ  åÇéÌÈðåÌñåÌ áÀðÅé-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, îÄôÌÀðÅé éÀäåÌãÈä; åÇéÌÄúÌÀðÅí àÁìÉäÄéí, áÌÀéÈãÈí. 16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah; and God delivered them into their hand.
éæ  åÇéÌÇëÌåÌ áÈäÆí àÂáÄéÌÈä åÀòÇîÌåÉ, îÇëÌÈä øÇáÌÈä; åÇéÌÄôÌÀìåÌ çÂìÈìÄéí îÄéÌÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, çÂîÅùÑ-îÅàåÉú àÆìÆó àÄéùÑ áÌÈçåÌø. 17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter; so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
éç  åÇéÌÄëÌÈðÀòåÌ áÀðÅé-éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì, áÌÈòÅú äÇäÄéà; åÇéÌÆàÆîÀöåÌ, áÌÀðÅé éÀäåÌãÈä, ëÌÄé ðÄùÑÀòÂðåÌ, òÇì-éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé àÂáåÉúÅéäÆí. 18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD, the God of their fathers.
éè  åÇéÌÄøÀãÌÉó àÂáÄéÌÈä, àÇçÂøÅé éÈøÈáÀòÈí, åÇéÌÄìÀëÌÉã îÄîÌÆðÌåÌ òÈøÄéí, àÆú-áÌÅéú-àÅì åÀàÆú-áÌÀðåÉúÆéäÈ åÀàÆú-éÀùÑÈðÈä åÀàÆú-áÌÀðåÉúÆéäÈ; åÀàÆú-òôøåï (òÆôÀøÇéÄï), åÌáÀðÉúÆéäÈ. 19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof.
ë  åÀìÉà-òÈöÇø ëÌÉçÇ-éÈøÈáÀòÈí òåÉã, áÌÄéîÅé àÂáÄéÌÈäåÌ; åÇéÌÄâÌÀôÅäåÌ éÀäåÈä, åÇéÌÈîÉú.  {ô} 20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah; and the LORD smote him, and he died. {P}
ëà  åÇéÌÄúÀçÇæÌÅ÷ àÂáÄéÌÈäåÌ--åÇéÌÄùÌÒÈà-ìåÉ, ðÈùÑÄéí àÇøÀáÌÇò òÆùÒÀøÅä; åÇéÌåÉìÆã, òÆùÒÀøÄéí åÌùÑÀðÇéÄí áÌÈðÄéí, åÀùÑÅùÑ òÆùÒÀøÅä, áÌÈðåÉú. 21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and took unto himself fourteen wives, and begot twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
ëá  åÀéÆúÆø ãÌÄáÀøÅé àÂáÄéÌÈä, åÌãÀøÈëÈéå åÌãÀáÈøÈéå--ëÌÀúåÌáÄéí, áÌÀîÄãÀøÇùÑ äÇðÌÈáÄéà òÄãÌåÉ. 22 And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the commentary of the prophet Iddo.
ëâ  åÇéÌÄùÑÀëÌÇá àÂáÄéÌÈä òÄí-àÂáÉúÈéå, åÇéÌÄ÷ÀáÌÀøåÌ àÉúåÉ áÌÀòÄéø ãÌÈåÄéã, åÇéÌÄîÀìÉêÀ àÈñÈà áÀðåÉ, úÌÇçÀúÌÈéå; áÌÀéÈîÈéå ùÑÈ÷ÀèÈä äÈàÈøÆõ, òÆùÒÆø ùÑÈðÄéí.  {ô} 23 So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Asa his son reigned in his stead; in his days the land was quiet ten years. {P}
