Isaiah Chapter 36 éÀùÑÇòÀéÈäåÌ

à  åÇéÀäÄé áÌÀàÇøÀáÌÇò òÆùÒÀøÅä ùÑÈðÈä ìÇîÌÆìÆêÀ çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ, òÈìÈä ñÇðÀçÅøÄéá îÆìÆêÀ-àÇùÌÑåÌø òÇì ëÌÈì-òÈøÅé éÀäåÌãÈä äÇáÌÀöËøåÉú--åÇéÌÄúÀôÌÀùÒÅí. 1 Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah, and took them.
á  åÇéÌÄùÑÀìÇç îÆìÆêÀ-àÇùÌÑåÌø àÆú-øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä îÄìÌÈëÄéùÑ éÀøåÌùÑÈìÇÀîÈä àÆì-äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ, áÌÀçÅéì ëÌÈáÅã; åÇéÌÇòÂîÉã, áÌÄúÀòÈìÇú äÇáÌÀøÅëÈä äÈòÆìÀéåÉðÈä, áÌÄîÀñÄìÌÇú, ùÒÀãÅä ëåÉáÅñ. 2 And the king of Assyria sent Rab-shakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fullers' field.
â  åÇéÌÅöÅà àÅìÈéå àÆìÀéÈ÷Äéí áÌÆï-çÄìÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ, àÂùÑÆø òÇì-äÇáÌÈéÄú--åÀùÑÆáÀðÈà, äÇñÌÉôÅø, åÀéåÉàÈç áÌÆï-àÈñÈó, äÇîÌÇæÀëÌÄéø. 3 Then came forth unto him Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.
ã  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÂìÅéäÆí øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä, àÄîÀøåÌ-ðÈà àÆì-çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ:  ëÌÉä-àÈîÇø äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ äÇâÌÈãåÉì, îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø, îÈä äÇáÌÄèÌÈçåÉï äÇæÌÆä, àÂùÑÆø áÌÈèÈçÀúÌÈ. 4 And Rab-shakeh said unto them: 'Say ye now to Hezekiah: Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria: What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
ä  àÈîÇøÀúÌÄé, àÇêÀ-ãÌÀáÇø-ùÒÀôÈúÇéÄí, òÅöÈä åÌâÀáåÌøÈä, ìÇîÌÄìÀçÈîÈä; òÇúÌÈä òÇì-îÄé áÈèÇçÀúÌÈ, ëÌÄé îÈøÇãÀúÌÈ áÌÄé. 5 I said: It is but vain words; for counsel and strength are for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou hast rebelled against me?
å  äÄðÌÅä áÈèÇçÀúÌÈ òÇì-îÄùÑÀòÆðÆú äÇ÷ÌÈðÆä äÈøÈöåÌõ äÇæÌÆä, òÇì-îÄöÀøÇéÄí, àÂùÑÆø éÄñÌÈîÅêÀ àÄéùÑ òÈìÈéå, åÌáÈà áÀëÇôÌåÉ åÌðÀ÷ÈáÈäÌ:  ëÌÅï ôÌÇøÀòÉä îÆìÆêÀ-îÄöÀøÇéÄí, ìÀëÈì-äÇáÌÉèÀçÄéí òÈìÈéå. 6 Behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it; so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust on him.
æ  åÀëÄé-úÉàîÇø àÅìÇé, àÆì-éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅéðåÌ áÌÈèÈçÀðåÌ:  äÂìåÉà-äåÌà, àÂùÑÆø äÅñÄéø çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ àÆú-áÌÈîÉúÈéå åÀàÆú-îÄæÀáÌÀçÉúÈéå, åÇéÌÉàîÆø ìÄéäåÌãÈä åÀìÄéøåÌùÑÈìÇÄí, ìÄôÀðÅé äÇîÌÄæÀáÌÅçÇ äÇæÌÆä úÌÄùÑÀúÌÇçÂååÌ. 7 But if thou say unto me: We trust in the LORD our God; is not that He, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and to Jerusalem: Ye shall worship before this altar?
ç  åÀòÇúÌÈä äÄúÀòÈøÆá ðÈà, àÆú-àÂãÉðÄé äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø; åÀàÆúÌÀðÈä ìÀêÈ, àÇìÀôÌÇéÄí ñåÌñÄéí--àÄí-úÌåÌëÇì, ìÈúÆú ìÀêÈ øÉëÀáÄéí òÂìÅéäÆí. 8 Now therefore, I pray thee, make a wager with my master, the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
è  åÀàÅéêÀ úÌÈùÑÄéá, àÅú ôÌÀðÅé ôÇçÇú àÇçÇã òÇáÀãÅé àÂãÉðÄé--äÇ÷ÌÀèÇðÌÄéí; åÇúÌÄáÀèÇç ìÀêÈ òÇì-îÄöÀøÇéÄí, ìÀøÆëÆá åÌìÀôÈøÈùÑÄéí. 9 How then canst thou turn away the face of one captain, even of the least of my master's servants? yet thou puttest thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen!
é  åÀòÇúÌÈä äÂîÄáÌÇìÀòÂãÅé éÀäåÈä, òÈìÄéúÄé òÇì-äÈàÈøÆõ äÇæÌÉàú ìÀäÇùÑÀçÄéúÈäÌ; éÀäåÈä àÈîÇø àÅìÇé, òÂìÅä àÆì-äÈàÈøÆõ äÇæÌÉàú åÀäÇùÑÀçÄéúÈäÌ.  {ñ} 10 And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? The LORD said unto me: Go up against this land, and destroy it.' {S}
éà  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÆìÀéÈ÷Äéí åÀùÑÆáÀðÈà åÀéåÉàÈç àÆì-øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä, ãÌÇáÌÆø-ðÈà àÆì-òÂáÈãÆéêÈ àÂøÈîÄéú--ëÌÄé ùÑÉîÀòÄéí, àÂðÈçÀðåÌ; åÀàÇì-úÌÀãÇáÌÅø àÅìÅéðåÌ, éÀäåÌãÄéú, áÌÀàÈæÀðÅé äÈòÈí, àÂùÑÆø òÇì-äÇçåÉîÈä. 11 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rab-shakeh: 'Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Aramean language, for we understand it; and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.'
éá  åÇéÌÉàîÆø øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä, äÇàÆì àÂãÉðÆéêÈ åÀàÅìÆéêÈ ùÑÀìÈçÇðÄé àÂãÉðÄé, ìÀãÇáÌÅø, àÆú-äÇãÌÀáÈøÄéí äÈàÅìÌÆä:  äÂìÉà òÇì-äÈàÂðÈùÑÄéí, äÇéÌÉùÑÀáÄéí òÇì-äÇçåÉîÈä, ìÆàÁëÉì àÆú-çøàéäí (öåÉàÈúÈí) åÀìÄùÑÀúÌåÉú àÆú-ùéðéäí (îÅéîÅé øÇâÀìÅéäÆí), òÄîÌÈëÆí. 12 But Rab-shakeh said: 'Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own water with you?'
éâ  åÇéÌÇòÂîÉã, øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä, åÇéÌÄ÷ÀøÈà áÀ÷åÉì-âÌÈãåÉì, éÀäåÌãÄéú; åÇéÌÉàîÆø--ùÑÄîÀòåÌ àÆú-ãÌÄáÀøÅé äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ äÇâÌÈãåÉì, îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø. 13 Then Rab-shakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said: 'Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.
éã  ëÌÉä àÈîÇø äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ, àÇì-éÇùÌÑÄà ìÈëÆí çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ:  ëÌÄé ìÉà-éåÌëÇì, ìÀäÇöÌÄéì àÆúÀëÆí. 14 Thus saith the king: Let not Hezekiah beguile you, for he will not be able to deliver you;
èå  åÀàÇì-éÇáÀèÇç àÆúÀëÆí çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ àÆì-éÀäåÈä ìÅàîÉø, äÇöÌÅì éÇöÌÄéìÅðåÌ éÀäåÈä:  ìÉà úÄðÌÈúÅï äÈòÄéø äÇæÌÉàú, áÌÀéÇã îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø. 15 neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying: The LORD will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
èæ  àÇì-úÌÄùÑÀîÀòåÌ, àÆì-çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ;  {ô}
 
ëÌÄé ëÉä àÈîÇø äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø, òÂùÒåÌ-àÄúÌÄé áÀøÈëÈä åÌöÀàåÌ àÅìÇé, åÀàÄëÀìåÌ àÄéùÑ-âÌÇôÀðåÉ åÀàÄéùÑ úÌÀàÅðÈúåÉ, åÌùÑÀúåÌ àÄéùÑ îÅé-áåÉøåÉ.
16 Hearken not to Hezekiah; {P}
 
for thus saith the king of Assyria: Make your peace with me, and come out to me; and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig-tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;
éæ  òÇã-áÌÉàÄé, åÀìÈ÷ÇçÀúÌÄé àÆúÀëÆí àÆì-àÆøÆõ ëÌÀàÇøÀöÀëÆí:  àÆøÆõ ãÌÈâÈï åÀúÄéøåÉùÑ, àÆøÆõ ìÆçÆí åÌëÀøÈîÄéí. 17 until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
éç  ôÌÆï-éÇñÌÄéú àÆúÀëÆí çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ ìÅàîÉø, éÀäåÈä éÇöÌÄéìÅðåÌ; äÇäÄöÌÄéìåÌ àÁìÉäÅé äÇâÌåÉéÄí, àÄéùÑ àÆú-àÇøÀöåÉ, îÄéÌÇã, îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø. 18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying: The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
éè  àÇéÌÅä àÁìÉäÅé çÂîÈú, åÀàÇøÀôÌÈã--àÇéÌÅä, àÁìÉäÅé ñÀôÇøÀåÈéÄí; åÀëÄé-äÄöÌÄéìåÌ àÆú-ùÑÉîÀøåÉï, îÄéÌÈãÄé. 19 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?
ë  îÄé, áÌÀëÈì-àÁìÉäÅé äÈàÂøÈöåÉú äÈàÅìÌÆä, àÂùÑÆø-äÄöÌÄéìåÌ àÆú-àÇøÀöÈí, îÄéÌÈãÄé; ëÌÄé-éÇöÌÄéì éÀäåÈä àÆú-éÀøåÌùÑÈìÇÄí, îÄéÌÈãÄé. 20 Who are they among all the gods of these countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?'
ëà  åÇéÌÇçÂøÄéùÑåÌ, åÀìÉà-òÈðåÌ àÉúåÉ ãÌÈáÈø:  ëÌÄé-îÄöÀåÇú äÇîÌÆìÆêÀ äÄéà ìÅàîÉø, ìÉà úÇòÂðËäåÌ. 21 But they held their peace, and answered him not a word; for the king's commandment was, saying: 'Answer him not.'
ëá  åÇéÌÈáÉà àÆìÀéÈ÷Äéí áÌÆï-çÄìÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ àÂùÑÆø-òÇì-äÇáÌÇéÄú åÀùÑÆáÀðÈà äÇñÌÉôÅø åÀéåÉàÈç áÌÆï-àÈñÈó äÇîÌÇæÀëÌÄéø, àÆì-çÄæÀ÷ÄéÌÈäåÌ--÷ÀøåÌòÅé áÀâÈãÄéí; åÇéÌÇâÌÄéãåÌ ìåÉ, àÅú ãÌÄáÀøÅé øÇáÀùÑÈ÷Åä.  {ñ} 22 Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rab-shakeh. {S}
