à áÌÄùÑÀðÇú áÌÉà úÇøÀúÌÈï, àÇùÑÀãÌåÉãÈä, áÌÄùÑÀìÉçÇ àÉúåÉ, ñÇøÀâåÉï îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø; åÇéÌÄìÌÈçÆí áÌÀàÇùÑÀãÌåÉã, åÇéÌÄìÀëÌÀãÈäÌ.

1 In the year that Tartan came into Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and he fought against Ashdod and took it;

á áÌÈòÅú äÇäÄéà, ãÌÄáÌÆø éÀäåÈä áÌÀéÇã éÀùÑÇòÀéÈäåÌ áÆï-àÈîåÉõ ìÅàîÉø, ìÅêÀ åÌôÄúÌÇçÀúÌÈ äÇùÌÒÇ÷ îÅòÇì îÈúÀðÆéêÈ, åÀðÇòÇìÀêÈ úÇçÂìÉõ îÅòÇì øÇâÀìÆêÈ; åÇéÌÇòÇùÒ ëÌÅï, äÈìÉêÀ òÈøåÉí åÀéÈçÅó. {ñ}

2 at that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying: 'Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put thy shoe from off thy foot.' And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. {S}

â åÇéÌÉàîÆø éÀäåÈä, ëÌÇàÂùÑÆø äÈìÇêÀ òÇáÀãÌÄé éÀùÑÇòÀéÈäåÌ òÈøåÉí åÀéÈçÅó--ùÑÈìÉùÑ ùÑÈðÄéí àåÉú åÌîåÉôÅú, òÇì-îÄöÀøÇéÄí åÀòÇì-ëÌåÌùÑ.

3 And the LORD said: 'Like as My servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot to be for three years a sign and a wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia,

ã ëÌÅï éÄðÀäÇâ îÆìÆêÀ-àÇùÌÑåÌø àÆú-ùÑÀáÄé îÄöÀøÇéÄí åÀàÆú-âÌÈìåÌú ëÌåÌùÑ, ðÀòÈøÄéí åÌæÀ÷ÅðÄéí--òÈøåÉí åÀéÈçÅó; åÇçÂùÒåÌôÇé ùÑÅú, òÆøÀåÇú îÄöÀøÈéÄí.

4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt, and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

ä åÀçÇúÌåÌ, åÈáÉùÑåÌ--îÄëÌåÌùÑ, îÇáÌÈèÈí, åÌîÄï-îÄöÀøÇéÄí, úÌÄôÀàÇøÀúÌÈí.

5 And they shall be dismayed and ashamed, because of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.

å åÀàÈîÇø éÉùÑÅá äÈàÄé äÇæÌÆä, áÌÇéÌåÉí äÇäåÌà, äÄðÌÅä-ëÉä îÇáÌÈèÅðåÌ àÂùÑÆø-ðÇñÀðåÌ ùÑÈí ìÀòÆæÀøÈä, ìÀäÄðÌÈöÅì îÄôÌÀðÅé îÆìÆêÀ àÇùÌÑåÌø; åÀàÅéêÀ, ðÄîÌÈìÅè àÂðÈçÀðåÌ. {ô}

6 And the inhabitant of this coast-land shall say in that day: Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?' {P}
