Daniel Chapter 10 ãÌÈðÄéÌÅàì

à  áÌÄùÑÀðÇú ùÑÈìåÉùÑ, ìÀëåÉøÆùÑ îÆìÆêÀ ôÌÈøÇñ, ãÌÈáÈø ðÄâÀìÈä ìÀãÈðÄéÌÅàì, àÂùÑÆø-ðÄ÷ÀøÈà ùÑÀîåÉ áÌÅìÀèÀàùÑÇöÌÇø; åÆàÁîÆú äÇãÌÈáÈø, åÀöÈáÈà âÈãåÉì, åÌáÄéï àÆú-äÇãÌÈáÈø, åÌáÄéðÈä ìåÉ áÌÇîÌÇøÀàÆä. 1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the word was true, even a great warfare; and he gave heed to the word, and had understanding of the vision.
á  áÌÇéÌÈîÄéí, äÈäÅí--àÂðÄé ãÈðÄéÌÅàì äÈéÄéúÄé îÄúÀàÇáÌÅì, ùÑÀìÉùÑÈä ùÑÈáËòÄéí éÈîÄéí. 2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three whole weeks.
â  ìÆçÆí çÂîËãåÉú ìÉà àÈëÇìÀúÌÄé, åÌáÈùÒÈø åÈéÇéÄï ìÉà-áÈà àÆì-ôÌÄé--åÀñåÉêÀ ìÉà-ñÈëÀúÌÄé:  òÇã-îÀìÉàú, ùÑÀìÉùÑÆú ùÑÈáËòÄéí éÈîÄéí.  {ô} 3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. {P}
ã  åÌáÀéåÉí òÆùÒÀøÄéí åÀàÇøÀáÌÈòÈä, ìÇçÉãÆùÑ äÈøÄàùÑåÉï:  åÇàÂðÄé, äÈéÄéúÄé òÇì éÇã äÇðÌÈäÈø äÇâÌÈãåÉì--äåÌà çÄãÌÈ÷Æì. 4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Tigris,
ä  åÈàÆùÌÒÈà àÆú-òÅéðÇé åÈàÅøÆà, åÀäÄðÌÅä àÄéùÑ-àÆçÈã ìÈáåÌùÑ áÌÇãÌÄéí; åÌîÈúÀðÈéå çÂâËøÄéí, áÌÀëÆúÆí àåÌôÈæ. 5 I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz;
å  åÌâÀåÄéÌÈúåÉ ëÀúÇøÀùÑÄéùÑ, åÌôÈðÈéå ëÌÀîÇøÀàÅä áÈøÈ÷ åÀòÅéðÈéå ëÌÀìÇôÌÄéãÅé àÅùÑ, åÌæÀøÉòÉúÈéå åÌîÇøÀâÌÀìÉúÈéå, ëÌÀòÅéï ðÀçÉùÑÆú ÷ÈìÈì; åÀ÷åÉì ãÌÀáÈøÈéå, ëÌÀ÷åÉì äÈîåÉï. 6 his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as torches of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to burnished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
æ  åÀøÈàÄéúÄé àÂðÄé ãÈðÄéÌÅàì ìÀáÇãÌÄé, àÆú-äÇîÌÇøÀàÈä, åÀäÈàÂðÈùÑÄéí àÂùÑÆø äÈéåÌ òÄîÌÄé, ìÉà øÈàåÌ àÆú-äÇîÌÇøÀàÈä; àÂáÈì, çÂøÈãÈä âÀãÉìÈä ðÈôÀìÈä òÂìÅéäÆí, åÇéÌÄáÀøÀçåÌ, áÌÀäÅçÈáÅà. 7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision; for the men that were with me saw not the vision; howbeit a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves.
ç  åÇàÂðÄé, ðÄùÑÀàÇøÀúÌÄé ìÀáÇãÌÄé, åÈàÆøÀàÆä àÆú-äÇîÌÇøÀàÈä äÇâÌÀãÉìÈä äÇæÌÉàú, åÀìÉà ðÄùÑÀàÇø-áÌÄé ëÌÉçÇ; åÀäåÉãÄé, ðÆäÀôÌÇêÀ òÈìÇé ìÀîÇùÑÀçÄéú, åÀìÉà òÈöÇøÀúÌÄé, ëÌÉçÇ. 8 So that I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
è  åÈàÆùÑÀîÇò, àÆú-÷åÉì ãÌÀáÈøÈéå; åÌëÀùÑÈîÀòÄé, àÆú-÷åÉì ãÌÀáÈøÈéå, åÇàÂðÄé äÈéÄéúÄé ðÄøÀãÌÈí òÇì-ôÌÈðÇé, åÌôÈðÇé àÈøÀöÈä. 9 Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I fallen into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
é  åÀäÄðÌÅä-éÈã, ðÈâÀòÈä áÌÄé; åÇúÌÀðÄéòÅðÄé òÇì-áÌÄøÀëÌÇé, åÀëÇôÌåÉú éÈãÈé. 10 And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me tottering upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
éà  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÅìÇé ãÌÈðÄéÌÅàì àÄéùÑ-çÂîËãåÉú äÈáÅï áÌÇãÌÀáÈøÄéí àÂùÑÆø àÈðÉëÄé ãÉáÅø àÅìÆéêÈ, åÇòÂîÉã òÇì-òÈîÀãÆêÈ--ëÌÄé òÇúÌÈä, ùÑËìÌÇçÀúÌÄé àÅìÆéêÈ; åÌáÀãÇáÌÀøåÉ òÄîÌÄé àÆú-äÇãÌÈáÈø äÇæÌÆä, òÈîÇãÀúÌÄé îÇøÀòÄéã. 11 And he said unto me: 'O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, give heed unto the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for now am I sent unto thee'; and when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
éá  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÅìÇé, àÇì-úÌÄéøÈà ãÈðÄéÌÅàì--ëÌÄé îÄï-äÇéÌåÉí äÈøÄàùÑåÉï àÂùÑÆø ðÈúÇúÌÈ àÆú-ìÄáÌÀêÈ ìÀäÈáÄéï åÌìÀäÄúÀòÇðÌåÉú ìÄôÀðÅé àÁìÉäÆéêÈ, ðÄùÑÀîÀòåÌ ãÀáÈøÆéêÈ; åÇàÂðÄé-áÈàúÄé, áÌÄãÀáÈøÆéêÈ. 12 Then said he unto me: 'Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard; and I am come because of thy words.
éâ  åÀùÒÇø îÇìÀëåÌú ôÌÈøÇñ, òÉîÅã ìÀðÆâÀãÌÄé òÆùÒÀøÄéí åÀàÆçÈã éåÉí, åÀäÄðÌÅä îÄéëÈàÅì àÇçÇã äÇùÌÒÈøÄéí äÈøÄàùÑÉðÄéí, áÌÈà ìÀòÈæÀøÅðÄé; åÇàÂðÄé ðåÉúÇøÀúÌÄé ùÑÈí, àÅöÆì îÇìÀëÅé ôÈøÈñ. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I was left over there beside the kings of Persia.
éã  åÌáÈàúÄé, ìÇäÂáÄéðÀêÈ, àÅú àÂùÑÆø-éÄ÷ÀøÈä ìÀòÇîÌÀêÈ, áÌÀàÇçÂøÄéú äÇéÌÈîÄéí:  ëÌÄé-òåÉã çÈæåÉï, ìÇéÌÈîÄéí. 14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the end of days; for there is yet a vision for the days.'
èå  åÌáÀãÇáÌÀøåÉ òÄîÌÄé, ëÌÇãÌÀáÈøÄéí äÈàÅìÌÆä--ðÈúÇúÌÄé ôÈðÇé àÇøÀöÈä, åÀðÆàÁìÈîÀúÌÄé. 15 And when he had spoken unto me according to these words, I set my face toward the ground, and was dumb.
èæ  åÀäÄðÌÅä, ëÌÄãÀîåÌú áÌÀðÅé àÈãÈí, ðÉâÅòÇ, òÇì-ùÒÀôÈúÈé; åÈàÆôÀúÌÇç-ôÌÄé, åÈàÂãÇáÌÀøÈä åÈàÉîÀøÈä àÆì-äÈòÉîÅã ìÀðÆâÀãÌÄé, àÂãÉðÄé áÌÇîÌÇøÀàÈä ðÆäÆôÀëåÌ öÄéøÇé òÈìÇé, åÀìÉà òÈöÇøÀúÌÄé ëÌÉçÇ. 16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said unto him that stood before me: 'O my lord, by reason of the vision my pains are come upon me, and I retain no strength.
éæ  åÀäÅéêÀ éåÌëÇì, òÆáÆã àÂãÉðÄé æÆä, ìÀãÇáÌÅø, òÄí-àÂãÉðÄé æÆä; åÇàÂðÄé îÅòÇúÌÈä ìÉà-éÇòÂîÈã-áÌÄé ëÉçÇ, åÌðÀùÑÈîÈä ìÉà ðÄùÑÀàÂøÈä-áÄé. 17 For how can this servant of my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither was there breath left in me.'
éç  åÇéÌÉñÆó åÇéÌÄâÌÇò-áÌÄé ëÌÀîÇøÀàÅä àÈãÈí, åÇéÀçÇæÌÀ÷ÅðÄé. 18 Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me.
éè  åÇéÌÉàîÆø àÇì-úÌÄéøÈà àÄéùÑ-çÂîËãåÉú, ùÑÈìåÉí ìÈêÀ--çÂæÇ÷ åÇçÂæÈ÷; åÌëÀãÇáÌÀøåÉ òÄîÌÄé äÄúÀçÇæÌÇ÷ÀúÌÄé, åÈàÉîÀøÈä éÀãÇáÌÅø àÂãÉðÄé ëÌÄé çÄæÌÇ÷ÀúÌÈðÄé. 19 And he said: 'O man greatly beloved, fear not! peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.' And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said: 'Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.'
ë  åÇéÌÉàîÆø, äÂéÈãÇòÀúÌÈ ìÈîÌÈä-áÌÈàúÄé àÅìÆéêÈ, åÀòÇúÌÈä àÈùÑåÌá, ìÀäÄìÌÈçÅí òÄí-ùÒÇø ôÌÈøÈñ; åÇàÂðÄé éåÉöÅà, åÀäÄðÌÅä ùÒÇø-éÈåÈï áÌÈà. 20 Then said he: Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.
ëà  àÂáÈì àÇâÌÄéã ìÀêÈ, àÆú-äÈøÈùÑåÌí áÌÄëÀúÈá àÁîÆú; åÀàÅéï àÆçÈã îÄúÀçÇæÌÅ÷ òÄîÌÄé, òÇì-àÅìÌÆä, ëÌÄé àÄí-îÄéëÈàÅì, ùÒÇøÀëÆí.  {ô} 21 Howbeit I will declare unto thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth; and there is none that holdeth with me against these, except Michael your prince. {P}
